PILÁF, pilafuri, s.n. Mâncare de orez (sau arpacaş), gătită de obicei cu carne (de pasăre) sau cu legume, ciuperci etc. ♢ expr. (fam.) A face (pe cineva) pilaf = a) a bate (pe cineva) foarte tare; a nimici; b) a uimi peste măsură, a ului. – Din tc. pilâv, ngr. piláfi.
