ECHINODÉRM, echinoderme, s.n. (La pl.) Încrengătură de animale marine nevertebrate, cu schelet extern calcaros format din plăci, şi care se mişcă cu ajutorul ambulacrelor; (şi la sg.) animal care face parte din această încrengătură. – Din fr. échinodermes.
