Trăsătură caracteristică a unei lucrări, a unui proces etc. 3. s.f. (muz.) Treapta a cincea a modului major şi a modului minor; acord compus pe această treaptă. – Din fr. dominant.

II. s. f. 1. parte, trăsătură caracteristică, fundamentală. ♢ nuanţă coloristică sau culoare în exces într-o imagine cinematografică, un diapozitiv sau o fotografie în culori. 2. (muz.) treapta a cincea a unei game diatomice; acord pe această treaptă. 3. focar de excitaţie puternică, precumpănitor la un moment dat, în activitatea nervoasă superioară. 4.
