SELENODÓNT, -Ă I. adj. (despre molarii rumegătoarelor) care prezintă în stadiul adult încreţituri semilunare orientate longitudinal spre suprafaţa coroanei. II. s. n. pl. subordin de mamifere paricopitate rumegătoare: girafa, cămila şi lama. (< fr. sélénodonte/s/)
